The Lopsided Cricket

Its hard to see how lopsided this game has become.

Each and everything about it is now about Batsmen.

On one hand I am elated because another Indian scored a hitherto unprecedented 200 in ODIs but on the other I feel for the bowlers who put in copious amounts of efforts into each delivery only to end up with an economy rate of over 8 an over.

No new rule has been made recently that would aid the bowlers and a series with all its matches producing games with 300 is a child's play is more appalling to me while it should be entertaining.

This drastic shift is an alarm for the people managing this sport as these 350+ games are discouraging for the young cricketers who want to grow up and become bowlers.

Even the viewers enjoy a 6 or 4 above a good quality over bowled. Break the shackles and bring in a balance to this scale of cricket bent towards the batting side.

PS- Well played Rohit Sharma, never meant to take the spot light away from you but it had to be said.
